Sasquatch Ultra 24 (June 20 – 21, 2026)
This June, Alex will take on one of the most demanding endurance challenges in Canadian trail running: the Sasquatch Ultra 24, a continuous 24‑hour trail race where runners cover as much distance as possible within the allotted time. The event takes place at Sasquatch Mountain Resort, featuring a rugged 10 km loop with 500 m of elevation gain, alpine terrain, and a round‑the‑clock atmosphere designed to push athletes to their limits.
Unlike traditional races, the Sasquatch Ultra is a test of resilience, strategy, and sheer determination. Runners can run, walk, or crawl, and the final result is based solely on total laps completed. It is a true exploration of physical and mental endurance—an ideal stage for Alex’s ongoing mission to raise awareness and support for Canadians living with an ostomy.
Why This Challenge Matters
Alex is running the full 24‑hour category, committing to a full day and night on the mountain to raise funds and visibility for Ostomy Canada. This effort builds on last year’s remarkable achievement: completing the Squamish 50/50—two ultra‑marathons in two days—while raising $18,650 for Ostomy Canada’s programs, advocacy, and community support.
